ABOUT US

Here at ADINA MONETTE, we believe that all plus size women should be able to express themselves in every way shape or form until their heart is content! And for many women that expression comes in the form of dressing and experimenting with fashion.

We felt that there is an area of plus size fashion which is still being overlooked and not being catered for. This area is minimalist fashion, which incorporates elements of trend and this is where we step in.

We want to provide you (our audience), with pieces that will forever fit your personal aesthetic and pieces that you can continuously wear throughout the changing seasons and trends.

ADINA MONETTE is a slow fashion brand, meaning that we will not be following the new era of fast fashion, we will be taking our collections back to the core elements of fashion with just two collections a year (summer & winter) and a continuous collection of loungewear. However, we may from time to time spice things up and give you a limited-edition collection!

We want to be as transparent as possible with you, so we are happy to share with you that some of our products are exclusively made with a UK manufacturer and others are made handmade in our UK based studio. This is extremely important to us and it is for this reason that our pricing is slightly higher. We pay more per garment for our production to be based in the UK rather than oversea, as this gives us and you peace of mind, knowing that our garments are being made by an amazing team who have excellent working conditions, are being paid fairly and enjoy the job they are doing. We work very closely with our manufacturer and try to visit as often as possible.

Keeping with the theme of transparency, we source our fabric from a single company who are base overseas, who work with a pool of small businesses and adhere to all the minimum wage & labour laws of their country. The company we work with also adhere to the UN convention of the Rights of child and national / local law on the employment of children. They ensure there is no forced labour in its workforce, members or homeworkers.

We also want to quickly talk about packaging with you!

All our packaging is recyclable, so please remember to recycle them once you are finished. Again, we source our packaging within the UK and use family run and small businesses to send you your goods and we aim to use as many of these types of businesses as possible going forward.

We recognise that our business is not 100% sustainable yet, but we are working towards this. In the meantime, we will use our best judgement when making company decisions and will use products & processes already in place where we can.
